Not sure how active this community is but I'm pretty sure I fall under the category of another college student trying to lose weight! I've been trying to stay a "normal"/healthy weight and been struggling with my fluctuating weight since I was 12 years old. I gained about 24 pounds in the last year and a few months. Looking back on this, I'm pretty sure that isn't normal! I think the acne medication I was on contributed to this weight gain, but I know that I was very depressed and began over eating at the same time too. College is very stressful and I picked up some unhealthy eating habits here that I'm ready to shed.

So here I am ready to lose weight.

Age: 19
Height: 4'9"
BMI: 37.0
Pants Size: 14 (It's a tight fit, though...)

Starting Weight as of 1/21/10: 171 lbs
Goal by 2/21/10: 156 lbs
Overall ideal Goal: 125 lbs

Hello everyone, I'm new to this community and only a few days ago joined Weight Watchers again and created a new journal for myself here. Thanks ahead of time for those of you who helped created this community for people like myself and to everyone else who I'm sure will be very supportive in the future.

In order to help encourage self-improvement, my new journal is focused around my personal weight-loss progress and will be featuring product and recipe reviews as well as helpful and encouraging information. I would really like to make some new friends here and build up an online support network that is mutual to me as is to you and if you're interested in hearing what I have to say and seeing my progress, I invite you to add me as a friend. My introduction post can be found here: Safe Link.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to reading updates on this community. Best wishes to all of you in this new year. =)

Hello.

I have carefully looked over the community profile and did not find anything explicitly warning against this type of post, but please let me know if this is not allowed.

This is not an advertisement begging you to join another weight loss community, I am more excited about informing you about another weight loss challenge. I love challenges! And I know I could always use some extra motivation--I find that those five-pound stickers at Weight Watchers are the only thing that keep me highly motivated some of the time. weightbot is back again with the 2009 Sprummer Weight Loss Challenge.

Weigh-ins are on Thursdays and it is going for another seven week run. The first weigh-in was today, but a comment on the challenge post with your weight from Thursday May 14th (and challenge goal weight) will get you signed up.

Ooo! ::Excited!::

GYM CLASS! [Mar. 2nd, 2009|02:01 am]

My Weight Watchers leader always stresses that you shouldn't have to pay to exercise, which I agree with, but a gym membership does seem to have its perks.
Through my employer I can join a single 24 Hour Fitness gym for around $20 per month which I hear is a good deal, but is it worth it?
Do gym memberships make sense, or is free fitness the way to go?
And, I have always been curious what types of people are at the gym. People like me, relatively overweight trying to get fit, fit people trying to stay fit, or people that are trying to achieve epic feats? I am talking about regular gyms, not something like Curves. Do people usually keep to themselves? Or do you find yourself being scrutinized by other members?

I am ever so curious.

Finally! -10%! [Feb. 20th, 2009|01:03 pm]
Weight Watchers for College Kids

[Current Location |RNO]
[Current Mood |accomplishedaccomplished]

I finally made it to my -10%! Somewhere around January 1st I was just one pound away from my goal, but then began a four week baby roller coaster. Up a little, up a little more, down a little, down a little more. Then my Wii Fit came along and in the very least provided me with some new inspiration.
-2.8 lbs this week.
I call that success -- considering those homemade cookies. It sounds about right for me anyway. Actually exercise, lose weight, duh.
But here is an update. I am not even sure if I have posted here before or not. Anyway.

Starting weight:   317.6 lbs
Current weight:   285.8 lbs
Next -10%:        258.6 lbs

My next goal weight will hopefully come in the next three to four months. Oh, shit. I can't even imagine 250 lbs. I mean, I have been there, obviously, but it probably just flew by the last time around. At 250 lbs there is no way I won't be able to see a noticeable difference. Recently, I have found a few small things that have changed, but nothing too significant -- only things I would notice. But another thirty pounds will definitely show. I'm getting excited!
I have never tried to lose weight before, it's like I never really cared before this point. But as I am starting to feel older, at 22 (LOL), I'm starting to realize the seriousness of doing well with my life right now be that with school, health, or what not. Because let's face it, I'm a quarter of the way through my life. Ha. Sorry. I'm a realist.

Starting over with WW [Sep. 30th, 2008|12:50 am]
Weight Watchers for College Kids

Hello all,
I'm a WW restarter. A couple of things have derailed me off of WW but I'm returning to what works.
I lost 30 pounds the last time I was on WW during 2005-2006. I gained it back and I gained another 25 pounds on top of that.
WW has changed in the past 2 years and I not sure how it works 100%, but I can't wait to give it another shot.
I'm excited about beginning again and look forward to enforcing some healthy changes in my life. I'm only 4'11" and I'm 205.2 as of this morning. I have been feeling ill and tired. I sleep too much and rarely feel "myself"....

I have a question for any of you that restarted doing WW:

What keeps you from becoming discouraged and quitting again ?
What helped you readjust yourself into following the WW plan ? I think that will be my biggest challenge, after quitting WW I often thought "whoa I couldn't eat this when I was on ww" and often felt deprived and once I quit I was relieved to not count points. So how do I overcome this hurdle without making the same mistake again ?

Ruby Tuesday Steak [Apr. 20th, 2008|02:05 am]
Weight Watchers for College Kids

thestarsiren
Hi everyone.

Okay, so I decided my body needed some red meat for the first time in a looong time...and after looking on Dotti's Weight Loss Zone and realizing that Ruby Tuesday's has a 7 ounce sirloin for 5 points and a 9 ounce sirloin for 6 points, I did it.

I ordered the Petite Sirloin, and had a salad with it. (I didn't eat the sides.)

However, here is my question:

Anywhere else I look, a 3 ounce serving of any kind of sirloin is no less than 3 or 4 points, so how could a 7 ounce steak be only 5 points?

The nutritional information listed on Ruby Tuesday's website is consistent with that on www.dwlz.com. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks!!

Hi Everyone!

I'm just dropping a line because I know alot of you (like me) can't wait for summer to come, but you don't have any cute summer clothes because all of your others are too big. Well I'm moving into my house and I found out after "spring cleaning" that I have WAY TO MANY clothes that I'll never wear and or fit into again. I'm attaching a link for all you to come and see.

I bought most of these clothes back in 2003-2004 when I was actively on Weight Watchers and sadly enough gained weight back. Most of the stuff still has price tags on it and the few that don't have only been worn a couple of times.

I am attaching a link of the clothes. http://picasaweb.google.com/ebarto01

If you are interested and or have questions please e-mail me at clothes4sale08@gmail.com w/subject line of clothes4sale. Also, I'll make a bargain if you would like! If you purchase in bulk I'll combine shipping. Please help me get rid of some clothes!

Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that they have been in plastic storage containers for the last 5-6 years and come from a smoke free home. all clothing has been washed (if worn)

Thanks!

- Erin B.

P.S More clothes will be posted later this week

just introducing myself... [Jan. 11th, 2008|05:04 pm]
Weight Watchers for College Kids

shadowboxer33

Hi there.  I'm new to this community and am so excited to have found a group like this!  I've done weight watchers in the past and have been successful but, as soon as I go back to school I find that I can't stick with it.  Most of my friends are skinny boys who can eat all they want and never gain weight.  Since I live with two guys and spend so much time with others, I wind up eating like they do and that definitely doesn't work for me!  I'm also a music major which means lots of late nights in the practice room and eating out all of the time.  I love to cook but, I wind up going out and eating junk more often than not.  And finally, drinking.  It's hard to avoid in college and I'm not really willing to give it up.
When I attended weight watchers meetings, I noticed that all of the above problems did not really exist for the other people there because they were mostly 40+ women with 9 to 5 jobs and families to feed.

Anyway, it's a new year and I'm sick and tired of being a fatty.  My older sister just passed away and I've spent the past two weeks eating nothing but chocolate and other sweets that people have sent to our house.  Then, two days ago I went to the doctor and got a real slap in the face.  I weigh more than I ever thought I would weigh in my life and I really need to do something about it...If not just for my health, for the fact that I'm training to become a classical singer and there is an increasing focus on thin opera singers these days.

So, I'm hoping to keep a food diary on livejournal and keep checking up on here to keep myself going!

My current weight is 182 and I'm 5'4"
My long term goal is to be around 135 or 140 lbs.
I'd like to lose 10 lbs in the next month.

hello all! im a newbie...yay.
my name is lauren and altough i am not currently a part of ww, my mom and i are joining in january.
anyways i was watching this fat camp show on tv and i realized i need to do something about my body.

being a freshman in college has been really stressful, and working when im not at school doesn't help. basically i haven't had any time to work out :(

i currently weigh 195.
my average is 180
and i haven't been below 175 in so many years.

my first goal would be to reach 175.....

im excited and if anyone wants to be buddies let me know because apparently i can't do this on my own. i need help from others to really push me.

(oh i must mention...am i the only one who drinks alcohol way too much? that is my one fear about this goal....i dont think i can stop drinking but i dont want it to ruin my results...what do you all think?)

thanks!!!

Hi Everyone,

I'm new(ish) to the community--I had another journal but decided I needed something new to start over.

I've ALWAYS struggled with my weight...ever since I can remember.  My mom is skinny, my sister is super skinny, and then there's me.  I lost 20 lbs about a year ago and was down to 173.  Then I went completely off plan and managed to gain THIRTY-TWO POUNDS back.  I'm disgusted.  I can't believe I let myself do that, especially after knowing how difficult it was for me to lose that weight.  I'm heavier now than I was the last time I started (and was successful on) WW; and every time i step on the scale I get overwhelmed with how much I actually have to lose... I'm 5'3".

So I'm starting over again.  For some reason this time is even harder for me than the first.  I've graduated college and I'm living at home, working full time and all.  I really really really want to do it this time.  I know it's in me, it's just so hard.  So here are my stats:

SW: 205
CW: 201.2
STG:  5 lbs a month.
GW: I have big boobs, so I'd be happy with 150 to start.  51 lbs to go... yikes.

Okay.... It's Monday today, so i'm gonna start fresh.

So far today....

1 sesame bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese for breakfast
1 medium half-coffee, half-hot chocolate from Tim Hortons

now lunch... i just had an orange.
I think i used up 13.8 points.

So far so good.

Just a question, so say i do exercise, how do I calculate how many extra points I earn?

And just thanks to all those who have replied to my previous posts.

Workout Question [Oct. 7th, 2007|04:35 pm]
Weight Watchers for College Kids

miriams_cup
[Current Mood |confusedconfused]

Hello all!

I have a question that I may have asked here before a really, really, really long time ago.

I have been working out regularly for 6 weeks now...I'm able to run 3 miles in 40 minutes on an elliptical.

Sometimes, even when I've been doing the same workout for a long time, I get horrible, horrible cramps, and have to stop in the middle of my workout! It is so annoying, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong? I drink plenty of water before and after, and I'm not eating an hour or two before I workout ('cause then I do get sick to my stomach).

Here's the order that I do things in:
-I start on the lowest ramp level and warm up for the first 10 minutes.
-Then I gradually pick-up speed and ramp level until I hit 30 minutes.
-For 5 minutes I go backwards 'cause it's supposed to be good for your butt =)
-Last 5 minutes I gradually bring the ramp down and slow my speed way down for cool off.

After that I stretch for 10 minutes, and walk at a slow pace for a few minutes.

It's not a side cramp, like when you drink a lot of water and then run really fast. It feels like a very bad menstrual cramp, and it usually starts mild and then gets very bad, and results in me doubled over.

This doesn't happen very often, but about once every 2-3 months. And I never have my period when this happens too.

Thoughts? Suggestions? It's just so random and I can't figure it out!

TIA!

So, you know when you have a break through and you just want the whole world to know? I'm feeling that right now

I have been on WW for almost a year now and it has been quite the struggle. I was in the dorms last year so counting points was extremely difficult and evident in my peaks and valleys...up one week, down the next, up the next, etc...

Well now I am in an apartment and finding it SO much easier to control what I eat. It's amazing when I can make a really great salad for dinner and be able to count the points for it!

Well, I weighed in yesterday and had lost 3.8 pounds(I didn't go the week before due to a scheduling conflict) for a total of 21.2 pounds down. I feel great and have the energy and the drive to keep going

For those of you struggling, I just want to say one thing: keep with it! There were many times in the last year I thought about quitting and giving up because I wasn't seeing the results that I wanted, but now I really feel that I am moving forward on this journey.

Good luck to everyone in this group, and thanks for the support you all have provided directly through comments and indirectly through posting your stories of struggle and success.

Have a great weekend everyone =)

hello everyone. i realize this is a community for college-age students, but i'm a senior in high school. close enough, right? i hope no one is opposed to my membership...
anyways, i've been on and off many diets all throughout high school. weight watchers is the only one i have been able to lose great amounts of weight on. well i'm back on it starting today and i have promised myself that i am going to stick with it, regardless of how badly i screw up on some days. [it has been a habit of mine lately to completely abandon my diet if i slip up a bit] i am very active but the eating has gotten out of hand over time. i am currently at about 148 lbs, but i would like to be down to 135 by christmas.

well i hope i can be a blessing to this community and others will bless me as well.

Hi! I'm Britt. I'm a senior at UNCG. I'm diong weight watchers but I'd love to have support and other people to talk to. Most of my buddies are getting annoyed at me for talking about points so much. I've only been on it for about 4 days and so far it's been interesting learning about foods and things like that and being mindful of what I'm eating in relation to what I had already and what I want to eat later. I know it'll be hard but I made a full dinner on 8 points tonight and I feel proud. I can't wait to start seeing results!

Hi!! I'm new and my name is Vicky I'm currently at 160 lbs and want to drop down to at least 140 lbs. I'm a Senior at the University of Central Florida. Anyone else from UCF?

I'm startig WW again I was on it for a few weeks in June and then went on a Cruise with my parents and lost it X_X

Anyway, I'm back on and I've done pretty well... I think... I hear and read about people not dipping into their extra weekly points and blah blah blah
I use my flex points and in June I did lose a 3 points in 2 weeks so I guess whatever I was doing was right

I'm not from the Orlando area so I don't know much beyond the UCF campus and Disney World so when I look up meetings they're in weird places and I don't really want to go to them alone =/

so anyone from the Orlando area or goes to UCF and attends meetings? I'm fine with just doing the program online but maybe the meetings will help

Hi all, my name is Rachael. Im new and Im looking for some guidance and support. Ive always had weight problems ever since I was young and in middle school I lost 60 pounds (went from 160 to like 95) in a very unhealthy starving fashion. My weight is like a roller coaster no matter what I do. In highschool I fluctuated between 115 and 140 pounds. Now two years later I am about two inches taller (im 5'5 and a half) and I weigh about 140-145. The confusing part is all my pants still fit me from when I weighed less. I have very big hips and my waist has actually gotten smaller since highschool. My waist is about 27 inches and my hips are 40! I want to get toned and maybe loose or at least keep my weight. I eat pretty healthy, im guessing between 1200-1600 calories a day.

I always struggle keeping a daily exercise routine. I like going, when im motivated, 5 days a week.

Here is what I have done the past two days:

30 min elliptical (3 mi in strides)
20 min walking on tred mill @ 3.6mph
20 min weight training

Is that balanced? Too much, too little?

I would love some input
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I was watching the Biggest Loser on tv last night and it inspired me to figure out my BMI. I went online, and to my horror, I am only 3 pounds away from being officially "overweight." I've never been so depressed in my life. I immediately looked up a WW meeting time near me and I plan on attending my first one in 5 hours.
I'm really nervous! I've never been good at diets or commitments and I'm afraid I'm going to bomb this and end up "overweight" anyway. Does anyone have any advice for my first meeting? Or anything I might need to know beforehand?
I'm hoping this community will be a huge part of my support system (since all my mother tells me is, "you're looking a little... big." Thanks, mom, you're really helping).
So, I promise to be encouraging to everyone here if yall can help me out too! I'm really excited/nervous about this, so I'll need all the support I can get! Thanks! :)

Hiyo~ I just joined the community [and ww] last night. I was searching in the restaurant section of tracking the points [I'm on the flex plan] and I didn't see Waffle House. Usually for lunch, inbetween classes I like to go to Waffle House right down the street. Does anyone know if there is a point system for Waffle House? I found one for IHOP. Thanks

I joined weight watchers last night. Went to the meeting and all that. I started counting my points today. Its not hard at all, I actually enjoy figuring out how many points everything is and writing it down. Much better than counting calories! Anyway, heres my starting stats:

As of August 17th, 2007

Weight:199lb
Calfs: 16 inches
Thigh: 26
Stomache: 45.5
Ribs: 37
Breasts: 45
arms:14

All measurements taken at laregest part of the area.

Is there anyone who goes to school AND works full time? What do you do about dinner? This is my bad area, I go from work to school and don't get home untill around 8:30 or 9pm.

has anyone who has done the program before or lost a significant amount of weight ever had this problem?

I started WW about a year ago and in the first 4-5 months, lost 30 lbs pretty dang quickly. But then I had a slight gain of 5lbs of the 30 lost back and am going on my 12th month of WW and am still about a 29 lb lost. I still have 16 lbs to go to goal. Has anyone else done really awesome on the program and then just started to drop off??? I mean, my life has changed significantly since I lost the original 30lbs--I went through a breakup, graduated college and moved home to my parents house where I was cooking for my whole family, moved BACK here to school for my teaching credential where I live with my boyfriend (the one I recently broke up with) and am not just cooking for myself anymore...I'm cooking for him (and he, like most guys, is a garbage disposal) and usually another two people (a couple we do lots of things with). But for the most part, I typically stay within my points. I don't think my eating habits are much different from what they were when I was doing really awesome on the program. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks guys!

Thanks for all the compliments on my pics!  That was so nice and just what I needed on my first day back on the diet.  It's been less than a week, but still...  Today has been going well so far.  I really wish that I could start working out again, but I'm going to give it until Thursday because that will be a week from my surgery.  I'm about to go to Wal Mart to pick up some groceries.  I'm going to cook some sort of brown rice mexican casserole I got off of etools tonight.  We'll see how it tastes!!  What are yalls favorite diet foods??

Hi! I'm Marissa and I'm 21 years old. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a senior at Texas Tech (anyone else a fellow red raider??). I started WW after my freshman year of college when I weighed 206 pounds. I have been doing the program on and off for the past two years and I've lost 51 pounds at the most. I had some surgery last week (very minor) and I guess the prednisone they injected me with made me gain some weight. I haven't been eating like crazy all week because I haven't had much of an appetite, but now I'm back down to the 49 pound mark. Today I've been eating badly... like binging. Not TOO horrible, but definitely more than I would normally eat. I plan on getting back on track tomorrow, so I look at it as using my allowance points this weekend so I won't have any all week! I think I'm going to Sonic tonight... I know, I'm bad, but it's back on track tomorrow. I want to get down to 142 or 140 as soon as I can (in the healthiest way possible). This morning I weighed about 157 (I'm about 5'6" and 1/2). I have yet to read through some of the other posts but I just wanted to say hi and I'm sure this is a wonderful community! I don't mean to sound conceited or anything, but I'm fairly knowledeable about how the program works so if anyone ever has any questions or anything, just let me know!!!

Hello all,

I just want to say thanks to those that responded to my post. I really appreciate it and I'm taking the plunge, head first of course, back into weight watchers. However, since I had so much success doing it at home myself I decided to join online and use etools instead of meetings. For now, that is. I also have two friends who do weight watchers via the website and have been pretty successful so I know I can find support in them. I'm really very excited about this and I hope that I can do SOMETHING to jump start my weight loss and lifestyle changes. :)

Now...any comments on Curves? I really want to join a gym and Curves is the closest to me and the least likely to conflict with my schedules (30 mins a day, 3-4 days a week). Should I join?

Thanks!!

Ok so I don't make many posts on here but I'm desperate and I always enjoy reading this LJ because its a nice community feeling. I don't know what to do. I went on weight watchers when I was a sophomore in high school (about 7 years ago) and I lost a whopping 60-70 pounds. I kept it off for a couple of years but then I went to college and gained, not only the freshman 15, but the sophomore 20. I pretty much stayed the same throughout college but then in the last two years I gained ALOT of weight. And I'm not exactly *sure* why. As far as I can tell, not much changed with my eating habits.

I never had joined a WW group. Usually I did it alone. I don't feel comfortable going to meetings and I don't really feel like spending money on etools. But maybe I should? For those of you who use it, is it worth the money? I just read the post about how mean some people can be on the message boards and I don't know that paying 60+ dollars for just the record keeping is worth it.

Anyway, I'm pretty much back to where I started BEFORE I did weight watchers and I just can't seem to MOTIVATE myself to start up again and STICK WITH IT. I don't know why but when I was 15, it just seemed so much easier. And now, I have MORE points because of the flex plan and I just can't seem to NOT go over! What is WRONG with meeee?

I'm sorry to make this so long, and possibly annoying, but I need help because I don't know what to do anymore. I try and I try and I just don't seem to get anywhere. So any help/advice/support/ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated. Also, any insight on Curves? Its the closest gym to me and I'd really like to join. Thanks again guys!

WW Message Board Rant [Jul. 1st, 2007|11:12 am]
Weight Watchers for College Kids
ebarto01
You know.  I thought message boards were a great place to ask questions especially in the newbie part of WW.  I was wrong.  I want to be the first to admit that I don't take the oils.  It's not that I just forget it's just that I didn't really make anything that I could use it with.  Now, I am going to start adding them in and I placed a post in the newbie section asking which oils were recommend.  Need I also mention that I'm moving into a smaller apartment in less than one month and while packing my entire bookcase I accidentily packed my weight watchers material? AND that those books are 100 miles away and I'm not driving just to tear open boxes to find them? I must not have specified that in my post because I got chewed out like no other.  I'm not sure what most of you are like, but I'm an avid e-tooler and since I'm always at work or at home on the computer it's easier for me to access that then it is to lug around three books.

If anyone could help me I'd appreciate it....

~ Erin

One more thing...

I don't know if anyone's heard of the weight loss pill Alli. It's now being advertised a LOT on tv and in magazines and is supposed to be taken with a diet/exercise program to make the program more efficient. Blah blah blah. We were talking about it in my meeting today and one woman had taken it when you could get it by perscriptions. She told us horrible stories about the side effects....the worst one being that you basically have to wear a pad or adult diaper because it gives you uncontrollable ...anal leakage. Lol. Sorry for being so gross, just thought I'd warn anyone who was thinking about trying it!

anyone, anyone? [Jun. 16th, 2007|01:39 pm]

anyone else live with two guys who are total garbage disposals?

i know i've been absent in this community for a while. i hadn't really been following the program much lately. i graduated college and moved back to my parents for 5 months where, to help my parents out, i'd cook dinner for my family every night. i didn't feel like making TWO meals so I'd have something healthy to eat, and plus they were always eating something really yummy. Anyway, I didn't gain overall in those 5 months, but when I compared my progress in the last 5 months to the first 5 months I was on the program (which I've been on for about 10 months), I was disgusted. It only took me 5 months to lose 30 lbs. I was 10 lbs away from my goal weight and I just ....lost motivation. Oh yeah, my breakup in December definitely didn't help. And then in the last 5 months, I had only lost 3 lbs.

I finally moved back to my college town as I'm now going through a teaching credential program, and am back at the WW center that I like (the one by my parents' house didn't have very good meeting leaders and the people that attended the meetings were downright annoying), my bf and I got back together, so life is grand, right?

Pretty much except for the fact that I moved in with my boyfriend and his roommate and so there is always Ben & Jerry's in the freezer, SOFT chocolate chip cookies on the counter (cuz you KNOW soft is better!), cake in the fridge (because it was my bf's bday on Sunday), and all kinds of other temptations. So I'm faced with...dessert...apple slices or SOFT chocolate chip cookies? Hmmm.... Anyone have any suggestions for how to handle this temptation? I'm 15 lbs away from my goal and I don't want to take another 5 months to get there. And telling them not to bring it into the house is not an option.
Thanks for reading!

I can't say that i've gone through every diet there is out there. Most of my problem is the lack of motivation. I've gotten to the point where i've become self hating even more so because of my weight. I look in the mirror and i don't see the person that i want to. I want to be able to look in the mirror and not be disgusted by the image i see back.  I've gotten to the point in my life where i just feel disgusting. Some of my family is overweight to, so it's really hard for me to stick to a diet, when everyone around me is eating things that i love.  It's hard to look the other way for me. My mom and I used to try diets together. For  a few days she'd stick to it with me, then she'd quit and i'd feel like it was pointless, if she couldnt' do it why could I? and a week or two later i'd quit too. I was doing well the last one. i'd lost 10lbs in 2 weeks. Then i got upset when i felt like people where expecting me to fail.

Now i've realized alot of my problem is that i'm to dependent on other people to help me change myself. I need to do it for myself. So i decided that today i would start my diet and change my life because i want it and by myself because i can't depend on other people to do it for me.  I always try to get support but most of the time all i get is negitivity so it is really hard for me to stick to such things. So i'm trying to be determined not to fail at this.

My name's Whitney. I am going to be a sophomore in college, and I have been struggling with weight my entire life.. During my sophomore/junior years in high school, I joined WW and lost about 40 lbs. Since then, I have gained most of it back. I blame it on my parent's divorce/depression/college... anyways, here I am back at the beginning and I am looking for support! Feel free to add me :)

After reading the comments to my intro, I decided to rejoin WW. I don't like weighing in in front of people, so I'm doing the online flex plan. There are so many new things online, and I only quit six months ago! I'm going to try to hit my goal weight again, but even if I stay 10 pounds above it, I'm still pretty happy :-)
